1. How can I find an attorney to represent me?
The Shreveport Bar Association does not have a lawyer referral program and does not provide pro bono services, sliding scale or free legal services. There are no attorneys in our office and our staff cannot give legal advice of any kind.
If you want to find out if you qualify for free representation and or to receive a pro bono attorney, you must contact Acadiana Legal Services Corporation at 318-222-7186 or by visiting their website www.la-law.org.

2. How do I file a grievance or complaint against an attorney?
Go to www.ladb.org/filing_a_complaint.asp or call the Louisiana Disciplinary Council at 1-800-326-8022 for information on how to file a complaint against a lawyer.
3. How do I know if my attorney is in good standing with the state bar association?
Call 1-800-421-5722 to find out if a lawyer is in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar Association and you may call the Louisiana Disciplinary Council at 1-800-326-8022.
4. How can I become a member of the Shreveport Bar Association?
Join the SBA or print an application and send your completed application and payment to 625 Texas Street, Shreveport, LA 71101.
