The Women’s Section of the Shreveport Bar Association promotes the empowerment and the strengthening of the bond between women lawyers in the Shreveport-Bossier area through social engagement, community involvement, and continued legal education, in order to advance morale within our profession and our personal lives. This section is open to all female members of the Association. The Women’s Section elects its own officers and conducts its own affairs, subject to the approval of the Executive Council.

Meet the SBA Women’s Section Board

Silver Sanders, President. Silver is a Shreveport native and C.E. Byrd High School Alumni. She received her Bachelor’s in Political Science, with a concentration in Pre-Law, and minor in Spanish, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she was also served as a member of the UL Law Society. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the Southern University Law Center of Baton Rouge, in May of 2022.

Trinicia Farris, Vice President. Trinicia has been a practicing attorney since 2017. Her practice areas are criminal defense, personal Injury, and family law. Trinicia has a small boutique law firm in downtown Shreveport. She and husband, Dan have two sons, ages three and two.

Anna Claire Tucker, Secretary. Anna Claire joined Blanchard Walker law firm as an associate in 2024. Her practice primarily includes business and commercial litigation, insurance defense, and premises liability. She graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University in 2021 and was recently inducted into the Reveille 25, honoring Mississippi State’s high-achieving young alumni. She earned her Juris Doctorate (cum laude) and Certificate of Civil Law Studies from Mississippi College School of Law in 2024. Anna Claire serves as the Social Media Chair for the SBA Young Lawyers’ Section and is a member of the 2025 LSBA Leadership Class.

Rachel Hughes, Treasurer. Rachel is a Shreveport native, born and raised. Rachel graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and Psychology. Rachel received her Juris Doctrate from Southern University Law Center in 2022. She began her legal career working as a judicial law clerk at the Louisiana First Judicial District Court for Judge Michael Pitman in civil court and Judge Katherine Dorroh in domestic court. Rachel is a Central Staff Attorney at the Second Circuit Court of Appeal.

Chandler Higgins, Immediate Past President. Chandler works for Tangent Land as a Title Abstractor for mineral acquisitions in Louisiana and Texas. She is a Shreveport native and C. E. Byrd graduate. Chandler received her Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana Tech University and then continued her education at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law where she received her Juris Doctor in 2022. Chandler served as the President of the Women’s Section of the Shreveport Bar Association in 2025, and served as the 2025-26 SBA Pickleball Chair. She is a member of The Harry B. Booth – Judge Henry A. Politz American Inn of Court, the Ark-La-Tex Association of Professional Landmen, and the Shreveport/Bossier Kappa Delta Alumnae Chapter.
